HeyGen prompts FAQ

There is a free plan at $0/month, but it is an evaluation tier rather than a working one. You get 3 videos a month capped at 1 minute each, and every export is watermarked. HeyGen's terms also limit free-plan output to personal, non-commercial evaluation and prohibit selling, monetizing or redistributing it. Publishing anything commercially requires at least the $29/month Creator plan.

As shown on heygen.com/pricing on 21 August 2026, the monthly plans are Free at $0, Creator at $29/month with 600 credits, Pro at $49/month with 1,000 credits and 4K export, and Business at $149/month with 1,500 credits plus $20 per additional seat. Enterprise is contact-sales with no published price. HeyGen advertises a lower effective rate on annual billing, but those figures sit behind a JavaScript toggle and are not published as static text.

Credits are consumed per minute of output at a rate that depends on the model. HeyGen's pricing FAQ lists Avatar III at 3 credits/min, Avatar IV and V at 20 credits/min, Video Agent at 20 credits/min, audio-only translation at 2 credits/min and translation with lip-sync at 5 credits/min. So Creator's 600 credits buys around 200 minutes of Avatar III video but only about 30 minutes on the newest avatars. Unused credits roll over one extra month on monthly plans.

Yes, on any paid plan. HeyGen's terms state that, as between HeyGen and you, you own all rights in your input and output — but that clause is written for the Creator, Pro and Business plans. The free plan is the exception — its licence covers personal, non-commercial evaluation only. Separately, you need consent to upload anyone's likeness, and you must disclose AI-generated content where the law requires it.
