Lovable turns a plain-language description into a working, deployed web application. You describe what you want in chat, and it generates a full front end plus the backend pieces most prototypes need — a database, user sign-up and login, file storage — either on its own managed Lovable Cloud backend or on a Supabase project you connect. The generated code is a conventional React/TypeScript codebase that syncs two-wa…

Lovable prompts FAQ

There is a free plan, but it is very limited. It grants 5 build credits per day capped at 30 per month, plus 20 Cloud credits monthly and 4 credits usable by AI features inside the apps you build. Unused daily credits expire the same day. That is enough to try the product and build a small demo, not enough to finish and maintain a real application.

The lineup is Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Pro is widely reported at $25/month and Business at $50/month for a 100-credit base allowance, with Enterprise quoted on request. As of 21 August 2026 the dollar figures on lovable.dev/pricing are rendered by JavaScript and are not served as static text, so treat those numbers as unconfirmed and check the pricing page yourself before subscribing. Both paid tiers let you scale the credit allowance upward, and annual billing is offered at a discount.

Credits are consumed per message, not per feature, and the rate varies with task complexity. Lovable's docs list Build-mode examples of 0.50 credits for "Make the button gray", 0.90 for "Remove the footer", 1.20 for "Add authentication" and 2.00 for "Build a landing page with images". Plan Mode is a flat 1 credit per message. Monthly plan credits expire two months after they are issued; purchased top-up credits last twelve months.

Lovable generates a conventional React/TypeScript front-end codebase and syncs it to GitHub, so you can pull the repository and continue development in a normal editor. That is the main practical difference from closed no-code builders. The backend is the caveat — apps built on Lovable Cloud are tied to that managed service, whereas choosing Supabase leaves you with a portable Postgres backend.
