The Free plan is $0, Pro is $25 a month and Business is $50 a month, with a custom Enterprise tier. We read Lovable's homepage, pricing page, Terms and credits documentation on 13 October 2026.
Our read: the sticker prices look like a flat subscription, but one credit balance pays for building, chatting, hosting and your app's backend. Pro and Business both start from the same 100 monthly credits, so the extra $25 for Business buys no extra base allowance on the pricing page, only pricier top-ups. The other catch is data: the Terms say Lovable may use your Customer Data to train models unless you tell it not to. Its Privacy Policy page returned an error when we read it, so the Terms are our only source on that point.

What is Lovable used for?
The homepage says you describe what you want and Lovable builds production-grade software with you in real time, after which you refine the design and publish. It lists hosting, SSL, backend infrastructure, authentication, payments and integrations as handled.
Describing and refining an app
Work happens in chat. The credits documentation says one balance covers building, chatting, hosting, your app's Cloud backend and AI features in deployed apps, so a long conversation and a live app both draw on the same pool.
Backend, hosting and payments
The homepage names Cloud, Connectors, Analytics, Security, Agent integrations, Payments and SEO & AI search. It says payments cover local payments, currency conversion and tax compliance in 200+ countries and territories, and that automatic scans and audit logs come as standard. Cloud usage covers database server and storage, network, file storage, compute and realtime, according to the documentation. We did not find GitHub sync or visual editing described on the pages we read, so we make no claim about them.
Working on web, desktop and mobile
The homepage says you can work on web, desktop and mobile. The published site stays live even when your credits hit zero, per the docs, though building stops.
Who Lovable is for, and who should skip it
It fits people who want a working app without assembling hosting, a database and logins themselves: founders testing an idea, designers, and small teams who would otherwise wait for a developer. Pro and Business both list unlimited users, so a small group can share one subscription.
Skip it, or stay on Free, if:
- You want a predictable monthly bill. Credit use is metered across building, chat and backend, and top-ups are extra.
- You need a refund safety net. The Terms say fees are non-refundable, and credits are not restored when AI output is wrong.
- You hold sensitive data. Training use is on by default unless you opt out.
- You need a long free trial. Free build credits expire at the end of each day.
How much does Lovable cost?
The pricing page, read on 13 October 2026, shows monthly prices only. Annual prices are not shown; the page says just "2 months free" next to the yearly toggle, so we do not calculate a yearly figure.

The credits documentation fills in the mechanics. Daily credits reset at 00:00 UTC and expire at day's end. Monthly plan credits expire two months after issue on monthly plans and roll over while you stay subscribed. Top-up credits are sold in 50-credit packs at $0.30 a credit on Pro and $0.60 on Business, which works out at $15 and $30 a pack (our arithmetic), and they expire 12 months after purchase. Free has no top-ups. The page also says students can get up to 50% off Pro, with no student price shown.
On cancelling, the Terms say paid plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date in account settings, and remaining credits stay available until the end of the billing period. Credits cannot be cashed out and are forfeited if an account is closed for material breach, fraud or abuse.
Is Lovable free?
Yes. Free is $0 and gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits for features inside your apps. Unused daily credits do not carry over. Think of it as enough to try the product and build something small, not to run a project.
What happens when your credits run out
According to the documentation, building stops, with in-progress work pausing in the chat so you can add credits or have Lovable wrap up. Chats continue while the daily chat allowance lasts, and AI features in deployed apps stop working. Cloud backend services pause shortly after; your data stays intact but is inaccessible until the services restart, and you may need to click Wake up under More, Cloud, Overview. Your published site stays live.
How Lovable handles your data
- Ownership. The Terms say you own your Customer Data, including the applications and websites you build, and own the AI Output generated for you, subject to third-party rights in the underlying models, training data or outputs. They warn output may be similar or identical to output generated for other users.
- Training. The Terms say "We may use your Customer Data to develop and train artificial intelligence and machine learning models", and that you can tell Lovable at any time you do not want that. Lovable says it honours the request for prospective use, free of charge and regardless of plan.
- Law and dates. The Terms are governed by Delaware law, with an effective date of 15 August 2026 and a last-updated date of 28 August 2026.
- Privacy Policy. The page at lovable.dev/privacy returned an error on 13 October 2026, so we cannot say what it covers.
Where Lovable's own pages disagree
- The Terms say the training opt-out applies regardless of plan and never mention a Business plan, so any plan-specific opt-out you read about elsewhere is not what the Terms promise.
- The Terms defer credit expiry to the pricing page, but the detailed expiry rules appear in the documentation, not on the pricing page text we read.
- Some regional plans cap daily credits at 30 a month, per the pricing page, whereas the documentation applies the 30-a-month cap to Free and none to Pro or Business.
How Lovable compares with other tools reviewed here
Bolt.new builds full-stack web apps from a text prompt and runs them in the browser. Our review shows a Free plan with 1 million tokens a month, then Lite at $9 a month, Pro at $25 and Teams at $30 a member. Lovable's Pro matches Bolt.new's Pro at $25, but Lovable meters in credits and has a $50 Business tier, while Bolt.new has a cheaper Lite entry. The units differ, tokens against credits, so compare what a typical project consumes before you pick.
