What is CodeRabbit?

CodeRabbit is an AI code reviewer that attaches to your repository and reviews each pull request as it opens. It reads the diff in context, leaves line-level comments, flags likely bugs and security issues, and offers fixes you can apply in one click.

The intent is not to replace human review but to remove the first pass — the round of comments about obvious problems that a reviewer would otherwise have to write by hand.

How CodeRabbit works

Once connected, CodeRabbit reviews new pull requests automatically. It runs linters and SAST tools alongside its own analysis, supports agentic chat so you can ask follow-up questions on a review, and can enforce pre-merge checks. Pro Plus adds multi-repo analysis and post-merge actions.

Who CodeRabbit is for

Engineering teams where review is a bottleneck, solo developers with no one to review their work, and open-source maintainers handling contributions from strangers — public repositories are reviewed free.

CodeRabbit pricing

CodeRabbit is a paid, per-seat product. Pro is $24/month per user billed annually and Pro Plus is $48/month per user, with Enterprise priced on request. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial and no credit card is required to start.

Public open-source repositories are reviewed at no cost, so the paid plans effectively apply to private work.

Use Cases

Faster pull request turnaround

Get a full review within moments of opening a PR, so obvious issues are fixed before a human reviewer ever looks at it.

Catching security issues pre-merge

SAST tooling and per-PR security review surface vulnerable patterns while the change is still in review rather than after release.

Open-source maintenance

Public repositories are reviewed free, giving maintainers a consistent first pass on community contributions.
