In April, Cadence announced a strategic collaboration with Google to optimize ChipStack using Gemini on Google Cloud. The partnership positions ChipStack as a cloud-native, agent-driven platform for next-generation chip design a move that sent Cadence shares up more than 4 percent on the announcement day.

This followed an earlier partnership expansion with Nvidia in March, which tied Nvidia's Grace CPUs and Blackwell GPUs more tightly into automated chip design workflows.
