On this page

Regunow is an AI regulatory research workspace that answers compliance questions with source references from 19 jurisdictions, compares your own documents against the rules, and turns findings into reports. It is built for regulatory, product, engineering and legal teams. One Pro plan costs US$200 a month with 6,000 credits. Checked 9 October 2026 on regunow.com.

MPAT read the Regunow homepage, the Regunow pricing page, the API documentation, the About page, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Regunow blog on 9 October 2026. This listing is compiled from those vendor pages. It is not a hands-on review: MPAT did not buy Pro or run research questions for this page.

What Regunow does

You describe a product, service or target market in plain language, pick a jurisdiction or leave the workspace in its open "Freestyle" mode, and ask a question. Regunow answers with numbered references to legislation, regulatory guidance and approval schemes, and a Sources panel shows the retrieved excerpt behind each reference. The vendor's product previews show answers on the EU Machinery Regulation and packaging rules with those panels open.

The homepage lists frameworks such as GDPR, the EU AI Act, CE marking, MDR, NIS2, DORA, FDA 510(k), HIPAA, CCPA, China's PIPL, the UK's UKCA mark, India's DPDP Act and Japan's APPI. The About page gives the scale as 19 jurisdictions, more than 1 million documents and 5 AI models.

Beyond chat, the site describes these tools:

  • Document comparison. Upload specifications, procedures, test reports or standards documents and look for gaps or missing evidence against the retrieved rules.
  • Report generation. Turn a research thread into a structured briefing with an executive summary and references, downloadable as an editable document.
  • Web search. Pull recent online information into a discussion alongside the regulatory corpus.
  • Source translation. Translate a regulatory source and switch back to the original wording.
  • Image generation and dictation. Make illustrations for training, or speak a question and edit the transcript before sending it.
  • Workspace. Saved chats, folders, search, a file Library, personalization and optional memory across conversations.

The Regunow API docs describe a REST API under /api/v1 with Bearer keys, a Freestyle or Jurisdiction mode, streaming, file uploads and citation objects in every response. Jurisdiction mode is fixed to the default Claude Sonnet 4.6 model at high effort. Image generation, report generation, audio input and saved memory are not exposed through the API.

Who it is for, and who should skip it

Regunow fits people who regularly have to answer "what applies to us?" before a launch or a market entry: regulatory affairs and compliance staff, product managers and engineers at hardware, medical, chemical or food companies, in-house legal teams, and consultants doing market-access work for clients. The homepage FAQ says you do not need a regulatory background to start. Being able to attach your own checklist or technical file and get gaps back with references is the main reason to pay instead of using a general chatbot.

Skip it if you only have an occasional question. There is no free plan or trial on the pricing page, and $200 a month is a lot for one query. Skip it as a team tool for now: the terms say each subscription covers one individual user, and sharing a login is not allowed. Also skip it if you need a sign-off. The terms say Regunow does not issue approvals, certify compliance or replace a regulator, certification body or lawyer, and that answers can be inaccurate or outdated.

Regunow is a regulatory research workspace from Regunow, LLC, a Delaware company. You ask compliance questions in plain language and get AI answers tied to source references from legislation and guidance across 19 jurisdictions, including the EU, the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Japan and India. You can also upload your own specifications or checklists to look for gaps, translate sources, and export a structured report. There is one plan. Pro costs US$200 a month, taxes included, for one user with 6,000 monthly credits. Extra credits cost 30 per US$1 and last 12 months. Monthly credits do not roll over, payments are non-refundable outside mandatory law, and no free tier is listed. Regunow is best for regulatory, product and legal staff who research market requirements often. Its terms say it does not certify compliance or replace a qualified professional. MPAT read these facts on Regunow's own pages on 9 October 2026.

Plans and prices

USD, checked 9 October 2026, from Regunow pricing
PlanPriceWhat you getWhere it stops
Pro US$200/month, applicable taxes included 6,000 monthly credits; 19 jurisdictions; frontier and advanced model selection; chat memory; file uploads and storage; web search; source translation; report and image generation; dictation; API access One individual account per subscription; monthly credits do not roll over; new work stops when credits run out until you buy more or the plan renews
Extra credits 30 credits per US$1, taxes included Top-up credits for active Pro subscribers Each purchase expires 12 months after it is bought; unusable while Pro is inactive
Free plan or trial None listed Documentation can be read without an account Using the service needs an active paid subscription, per the terms

The Regunow Terms of Service (updated 25 September 2026) add the billing details. Pro renews monthly until you cancel, and access runs to the end of the paid period. Fixed local prices or Stripe local-currency pricing may apply at checkout. Some purchases are sold through Link, which then acts as merchant of record. Subscription payments and credits are non-refundable except where mandatory law or Link's refund policy says otherwise, and the terms point EU and UK consumers to a 14-day cooling-off period under Link's purchase terms. The vendor does not publish a fixed credit cost per question. The terms say different models and features consume different amounts, so one credit is not one question.

How it compares to tools already on MPAT

Pilot5 Legal is the closest listing on MPAT. Five AI models debate a US legal question or contract and return a sourced recommendation. MPAT's 5 October 2026 check found 10 free credits at signup and plans from $29 to $999 a month. Pilot5 is for US legal analysis. Regunow covers product and market regulation in 19 jurisdictions, and its gap check runs against your own technical documents. Pick Pilot5 Legal for contract and litigation-style questions on a smaller budget. Pick Regunow for regulatory market access.

Rool is a general private AI workspace with chats, files and memory, hosted in the EU. MPAT's 7 October 2026 check found a free Standard plan and paid plans of €9 and €25 a month. It is far cheaper and can hold your compliance files, but it does not advertise a curated regulatory corpus or jurisdiction-locked answers. Use Rool for general document work. Use Regunow when every answer needs to point back to the rule it relies on.

Is Regunow free?

No. The pricing page lists only Pro at US$200 a month, and the terms tie use of the service to an active paid subscription. You can read the API documentation and blog without an account. Checked 9 October 2026.

How much does Regunow cost?

Pro costs US$200 per month, applicable taxes included, for one user with 6,000 credits a month. Active subscribers can buy more credits at 30 per US$1, and those credits expire 12 months after purchase. Monthly credits reset at each successful renewal and do not carry over.

What is Regunow used for?

Working out which rules apply before a product launch, market entry or design change. Examples include EU machinery and CE marking, medical device and FDA routes, data-protection laws such as GDPR or PIPL, packaging and chemical rules, and financial-services obligations such as DORA. The tool is also used for checking an internal checklist or technical file for gaps and writing a referenced briefing for colleagues or clients.

Does Regunow train AI on my documents?

The Regunow Privacy Policy (updated 1 October 2026) says Regunow does not use your prompts, answers, documents, images or dictation recordings to train AI models. It says providers are configured to restrict training use where possible. The policy names service-provider categories (cloud hosting, AI processing, retrieval, web search, transcription, image generation) but not the individual companies. Business customers can request the subprocessor list. Temporary dictation audio is deleted after processing. Optional analytics and advertising measurement are off unless you allow them. Data may be processed outside your country.

Can a team share one Regunow account?

No. The pricing FAQ says each subscription is designed for one individual account, and the terms forbid using one subscription for several people. A team plan is not published, so each user needs their own Pro subscription.

Who makes Regunow?

The terms name Regunow, LLC, governed by Delaware law, with a business address in Wilmington, Delaware. Founder Daniel Barros introduced the product on its Product Hunt page, where it was featured on 9 October 2026. The site is available in ten languages, and the blog has published guides on the EU Machinery Regulation, the Cyber Resilience Act and Korea's KCs certification since 2 October 2026.
